Accuracy and attribution
Published records should identify what comes from the submitter, what is visible in documents and what has been independently checked.
Neutral language
Unresolved disputes are described as allegations, claims or reported experiences. Headlines must not assert criminal guilt without an authoritative finding.
Privacy
Sensitive identity, financial and third-party information must be redacted. Material that creates disproportionate privacy risk may be refused.
Conflicts and corrections
Editors should disclose material conflicts. Substantive corrections are recorded and pages are updated with a clear note.
